Stacked High: Issue 1: The Official Newsletter of Gilbert M. Stack

Greetings and welcome to Stacked High, a newsletter designed to keep my fans up to date on the publishing of my historical fiction, urban fantasy, fantasy and science fiction. My work can be found in print magazines like Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine as well as online through such companies as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords and Mundania.

To celebrate the Christmas season, I’m excited to release my seasonal short story, What Child Is This?—an historical mystery set in the Depression Era Midwest where a lost boy, a grieving mother, and a small town deputy sheriff try to bring about a Christmas miracle.

With a great cover by Shirley Burnett, What Child Is This?, is exactly what you need to get into the Christmas spirit. You can find it at Amazon and other e-sellers for 99 cents and FREE on Smashwords for Christmas.

And for a more action packed Christmas story featuring the 1920s era former boxer-turned-bodyguard, Kit Moran, check out A Taste of Yuletide Vengeance, found in my short story collection, Hearts of Ice and Other Stories.

It’s not a sweet tale, but if you enjoy rough justice in a holiday setting, you’re sure to be entertained by Kit Moran’s efforts to pay back the mugger who victimized his mother. It’s also available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords.

In between newsletters, please check out my webpage at It’s a work in progress, but it’s steadily improving. You can also see my book reviews at Goodreads.

The next newsletter is tentatively scheduled for early spring when I’ll be releasing my historical fiction novel, Ransom.

I hope you all enjoy the coming holidays.
